The Augur is a Celtic Support Unit in Age of Empires Online. PvP Values which are different are put in brackets ().

Overview Edit

• Able to learn rites to sacrifice animals, the Augur also converts enemy units and heals friendly units out of combat.

Rites Edit

• The Augur has the ability to use four different Rites to improve certain aspects of the Celtic Civilization by sacrificing a deer (natural or sacred). Once these Rites are unlocked at a Civilizations Capital City they can be used by an Augur during a mission without any additional cost.
• Silver Age
  • Rite of Damara
    • Grants Augur the ability to sacrifice animals for a -20% Training Time boost. Affects all Buildings (Celtic) for a short period of time.
  • Rite of Ratis
    • Grants Augur the ability to sacrifice animals for a +50% Damage vs. Buildings boost. Affects all Celtic Military Units for a short period of time.
• Golden Age
  • Rite of Rudiobus
    • Grants Augur the ability to sacrifice animals for a +15% Movement Speed boost. Affects all Celtic Military Units units for a short period of time.
  • Rite of Andrasta
    • Grants Augur the ability to sacrifice animals for a +15% Damage boost. Affects all Celtic Military Units units for a short period of time.

Rites have a cooldown of 120 seconds and last 30 seconds.

History Edit

Augury is a form of soothsaying, in which prophetic signs are interpreted from the flight of birds, and the entrails of sacrificed animals. The Celts were one of many classical cultures that practiced augury in an effort to predict the future.
