Strategy & Tips Edit
There are three ways to approach this map -- Head-on, sneakily, and conquest-mode.
Spend all your cash massing troops and take the enemy head-on. It is more difficult than the other methods, but much less time consuming.
The Sneaky approach requires you to find the back-door" at the far West side of the map along the coast. You can send your entire force up here and decimate the lone guard tower and few troops. This will always incur the wrath of the main force, but the path forks so you can sacrifice some of your army to send the ram and heavy-hitters around the other way straight to the fortress.
Yet another path is available for you to take along the East edge of the map. Your starting force of infantry can take all of the troops and even one of the two guard towers before the main force arrives, and if you wait for the main force to retreat (because they see no enemies) your cavalry can clear the path for your priests to sneak up (more or less hugging the North-Eastern wall) behind the Fortress where the Treasure Chests are and convert a number of Villagers before the patrolling main army gets them. Walk the Villagers back along the wall and you have yourself a Conquest game. After the 15 minute mark however, the AI will send fair sized raiding parties to your boats.
